This research aims at further studying the phenomenon of school failure/success by avoiding the stigmatizing perspective as it focuses on identifying and tackling those factors that allow youth in contexts of economic vulnerability to achieve educational success.
The objectives are as follows:
- To identify and describe individual, family, school and community factors that contribute to children’s school success in socio-economic (SE) contexts of relative poverty.
- To develop a map of new socio-pedagogical strategies of different levels of action and context (individual, family, school and community) to improve school success of pupils in compulsory education with socio-economic indicators associated to risk of school failure.
