Study of Emotional Relationships in the Mother/Father-Child Dyad in a Family Setting: Implications for Development

The results of studies and research carried out so far on the affective bond established in the mother/father-child dyad have revealed the close relationship between the quality of experiences in these first relations and later behaviours. Therefore, children develop psychological skills in the core of these first interactions with those people from their environment and particularly with those performing motherly tasks.Taking into consideration the importance of the previous statement, our study is addressed at describing the different interactive patterns observed in natural contexts and focused on the mother/father-child dyad.

We hope that the results of our observations contribute with elements that may promote guidance for possible prevention.
