This study is aimed, as a general objective, to present theoretical and practical evidence on gender equity in educational practice by comparing two very different social and educational realities. This objective is based on the following specific goals:
- To get to know the incidence of male representation among Early Childhood education professionals in La Paz and Catalonia.
- To get to know, at the institutional level, the treatment of gender equity in La Paz and Catalonia, by considering: the schools’ pedagogical and management documents, training proposals in this field and equity in parental involvement.
- To get to know, at an educational level, the treatment of gender equity at schools in La Paz and in Catalonia, taking into account: the educational proposals and types of activities, materials, classroom decoration, and pupil grouping.
- To analyse personal beliefs of professionals concerning gender equity in educational practice in La Paz and Catalonia.
